Geo-information technology has been playing a more and more important role in environmental monitoring, natural resources investigation and socioeconomic development, especially, with the emergence of the new big data mining approaches and machine learning processing. The International Conference on Geo-Information Technology and its Applications (ICGITA) is to provide a platform and an opportunity for international scientists and experts in this field to exchange and share their recent research and application in geology, ore prospecting, geography, agriculture and food security, water resources and ocean, natural calamities, climate change, carbon sequestration and emission, urbanization and smart city, etc. The goal of this conference is to promote cooperation between/among scientists and governmental institutions, and more importantly advancement of geospatial science and its application in the mentioned domains by sharing the technical innovation and new algorithm development by outstanding scientists and scholars.
