East China University of Technology (ECUT) is a technological university jointly founded by the Ministry of Natural Resources, State Commission of Science and Technology for National Defense Industry (SCST) and Jiangxi Province. Located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi, ECUT has gained 62 years of development, and extended from one campus to four in the past half century, which two campuses are situated in Nanchang and the other two in Fuzhou, another city in the same province. ECUT has actually 20 faculties and research organizations covering multiple domains such as Earth Sciences, Hydrology and Hydrological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Geophysics, Geomatics, Science, Arts, Laws and Management Science, etc. There are about 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students with 2800 research and teaching staff, among which more than 660 are associate professors and professors.

ECUT is looking worldwide for 6 junior and middle career scientists (0-15 years of experiences after PhD) to reinforce the capacity of its Key Lab of Digital Land and Resources in geospatial technology and its application research in environmental resources including forest, rangeland, water and agricultural resources, and especially, in soil and environmental restoration. Candidates with PhD in or related to environmental geography, environmental engineering, soil science, agriculture and climate change are encouraged to apply, and those with expertise and experience in geospatial technology (including remote sensing, GIS and GPS) and its application in these mentioned fields or in human-environmental interactive modeling will be particularly welcome!
ECUT will provide an attractive all-inclusive package including settlement allowance, accommodation allowance and annual salary of about 210,000-500,000 Yuan (1 Yuan is around 0.145 USD)and fund for starting research. The package is subject to deduction of certain amount of tax and health insurance depending on your experiences and qualification.
